TRINIDAD: Pakistan fought back with wickets at regular intervals against the West Indies before tea on day two of the second Test at the Queen’s Park Oval on Sunday.
The hosts were 165-4 at tea, with Shai Hope and Justin Greaves unbeaten on 29 and 27, respectively.
Hope struck three fours and a six in his 61-ball innings, while Greaves scored 27 from 40 deliveries, including five fours.
Ali Usman struck in the 16th over to claim his maiden Test wicket, dismissing the well-set Brandon King for 46. King struck nine fours in his innings.
Kavem Hodge and Amir Jangoo added 26 runs for the third wicket before Sajid Khan had Hodge caught behind for 10.

After Hodge’s dismissal, Jangoo and Shai Hope added another partnership before debutant Ubaid Shah dismissed Jangoo for 26 in the 35th over to give Pakistan another breakthrough.
Hope and Justin Greaves then saw West Indies through to tea with an unbroken 45-run partnership.
Earlier, West Indies reached 49-1 at lunch on day one in rain-curtailed the opening session
Opting to bat first, the hosts reached 49-1 in 9.5 overs before rain brought an early end to the session.
Brandon King was unbeaten on 33 from 27, striking four boundaries, while Mohammad Ali bounced out Tagenarine Chanderpaul for 15. The left-hander was caught by Sajid Khan at deep fine leg after facing 32 deliveries.
The pair bowled disciplined spells and created several opportunities with the new ball, although Pakistan’s defensive strategy limited their chances of adding to the wicket tally.
