Pakistan wrist-spinners Shadab Khan and Sufiyan Muqeem have been signed by Antigua and Barbuda Falcons for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026.
The seven-team tournament is set to begin on 8 August in Kingstown, with the opening match scheduled between the Falcons and Jamaica Kingsmen. The summit clash is scheduled for 20 September in Bridgetown.
The franchise confirmed the signings in a social media post.
“Warning, this youngster comes with serious spin. The magic just got a new address… the Falcons’ nest,” the outfit wrote for Sufiyan.

Both Sufyan and Shadab recently turned out for Derbyshire and Lancashire respectively in the T20 Blast, with each picking up 10 wickets in six matches.
This will be Sufiyan’s first appearance in the CPL, while Shadab will return to the competition after seven years, having previously represented Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2017 and 2019.
The duo will join overseas signings Moeen Ali, Kusal Perera, Milind Kumar and Tajinder Singh.
A day earlier, the tournament’s newest franchise, Jamaica Kingsmen, also confirmed the signings of five Pakistani players — Saim Ayub, Maaz Sadaqat, Usman Khan, Hunain Shah and 19-year-old Tayyab Arif.
